You can assign a status to them (Platinum Members or Elite Members) and give them special perks and exclusive deals.  You can include a special segment for them in your email campaign so that regular customers can also see the rewards of being loyal to your business.

Another way to entice customers to keep supporting your business is to offer vouchers and coupons. Just make sure that these have expiration dates to create a sense of urgency.  Also, you need to set up reminder emails that can be triggered to send when the expiration date comes near.

3. Go the extra mile

Think of the last time when another person did something nice for you, that was totally unexpected.  Remember how that felt?  

The same goes for your customers. Showing that you care about your customers can go from tiny gestures like giving away free extras (which don’t have to cost a fortune) or something very personalized like sending flowers to customers who are sick or have experienced a loss in the family.  The choices are endless, as long as they can make your customer’s day, your efforts will surely have a lasting impression.  

You can also go above and beyond your duty as a business owner through your emails.  If there are calamities or tragedies that affect your customers, you can use your platform to raise awareness and gather help to assist them and their families.

Another opportunity to go the extra mile is to take a personal interest in your customers.   People like to interact with businesses that treat them more like individuals than mere numbers.  Whether it’s in person or in social media, businesses must interact with their customers in a timely and authentic manner.  This helps create a sense of personal connection between you and your customers, which then translates into trust which is the building block of customer loyalty.
